August 4, 2023, – National Underwear Day, held annually on August 5, has taken on new meaning for Trackhouse Racing as they celebrate extending their sponsorship with Jockey International, Inc. Jockey is a 147-year-old family-owned company known globally for its high-quality underwear and apparel. It has committed to continuing its primary sponsorship of Trackhouse Racing’s Chevrolets for the 2024 and 2025 NASCAR Cup seasons.
The partnership renewal began in 2022 and marks the first team sponsorship in Jockey’s extensive history. Trackhouse founder Justin Marks orchestrated a humorous video skit featuring drivers Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez in celebration of the occasion. Despite no Academy Awards in sight for their performances, the skit is sure to bring laughter to fans.
“From the moment we met with Trackhouse Racing, we were immediately attracted to their energy, passion, and ambition,” stated Tom Hutchison, VP-Marketing, Jockey. “Their vision of reshaping how a racing team operates and connects with fans was infectious. Beyond that, our core values of family, community, education, and tradition perfectly resonated with their brand ethos.”
Under the renewed partnership, Jockey’s livery will grace the hoods of Chastain’s No. 1 Chevrolet and Suarez’s No. 99 Chevrolet in eight Cup races each season in 2024 and 2025. Additionally, both drivers will sport Jockey logos on their uniforms in every race and partake in Jockey’s marketing campaigns and community impact programs.
Part of the extended deal involves Trackhouse and Jockey collaborating on community impact initiatives, focusing on giving back to families and children in Jockey’s hometown of Kenosha, Wis., and in Charlotte and Nashville, where Trackhouse operates.
“We are immensely proud of our work with Jockey, both on and off the track,” Trackhouse founder and owner Justin Marks expressed. “Jockey’s commitment to innovation, quality, and community aligns perfectly with Trackhouse’s values.”
Ross Chastain, an eighth-generation watermelon farmer, admired Jockey: “I value their effort and dedication to building a business and brand over generations,” said Chastain.
Trackhouse Racing, currently in its third season in the Cup Series, has celebrated five victories since the beginning of the 2022 season.
Daniel Suarez, the first Mexican driver to win a Cup Series race, voiced his enthusiasm, “Every time I get a new package from Jockey, it’s like opening a Christmas gift. They are massive supporters of Trackhouse and racing, and I believe our fans will love their clothing just as much as Ross and I do.”
As both companies look forward to the extended partnership, National Underwear Day will remind them of their shared commitment to success, community, and passion for racing.
