Five Flags Speedway has revealed its complete calendar for the 2024 racing season. Spread across 14 race days between March and September; the schedule lays a promising pathway that leads toward the 57th Annual Snowball Derby.
From March 22-24, the racing season will commence with an electrifying tripleheader racing weekend at Pensacola, Florida, half-mile. Bringing in local divisions for competition on the opening day, Friday, March 22, the weekend will proceed further to the Pensacola ARCA 200, where ARCA Menards Series East entrants will showcase their prowesses. Culminating on Sunday, March 24, with ASA STARS National Tour Sunshine State 200, the initial racing weekend paints an inviting image for the ensuing racing series.
Notably, the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series will hold its curtain raiser for the year on April 5. Besides, it will hold the Pro Late Model track championship on May 31, August 23, and September 28.
Not keeping the Modifieds of Mayhem fans waiting, the Speedway will play host to it on May 10 and August 23 and will hold their regular season finale as a part of the Snowball Derby’s weekend festivities on Friday, December 6.
Earlier declared as part of the ASA Southern Super Series’ schedule, the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series’ dates are set for March 24, April 26, June 28, and September 28. These four Super Late Model races are essential as the top ten scorers in Blizzard Series points stand eligible for a provisional starting spot in the Snowball Derby.
In their schedule announcement, the officials from Five Flags Speedway hinted at some mild alterations in their 2024 timetable. These changes have been made in collaboration with other Gulf Coast tracks like Montgomery Motor Speedway and Mobile International Speedway to allow the competitors and followers to sample the finest Gulf Coast Racing.
The 2024 schedule patents a tad difference in the date arrangement compared to the past, though it has been meticulously planned with the neighboring tracks to provide both the contestants and spectators an opportunity to experience prime Gulf Coast racing phenomenon,” the representative from Speedway mentioned in their release.
Five Flags Speedway has earmarked many of these dates for the fans of local divisions throughout the season. But they will also be granted a few dedicated race nights. Commencing from the opening night on March 22, the local divisions will steal the limelight on April 19, June 14 and August 2 and will also have their standalone night of champions on September 21.
