Graham Smith Promoted to Vice President of OEM Partnerships at Speedway Motorsports
Speedway Motorsports (SM) – the company that brings you heart-pounding, rubber-blazing NASCAR competitions, has decided to put Graham Smith, ex-Vice President of Business Operations for U.S. Legend Cars International, in the driver’s seat for OEM Partnerships. A role that has Smith steering the company towards more robust relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
“With Graham’s sales and operations background at Charlotte Motor Speedway and then as managing director at U.S. Legend Cars International, he has proven himself to be a relationship-builder amongst our partners, and he has a passion for the automotive industry,” said Kevin Campers, demonstrating all the excitement of a long airport layover… but burnishing Smith with praises that matter.
Smith’s journey from a groundskeeping gig at Charlotte Motor Speedway to the corporate high risers is as captivating as a drama-filled race on a windy speedway. After graduating from Furman University with a degree in Communication Studies (go Paladins!), Smith traded in his landscaping gloves for business attire starting his career in the Corporate Sales Department. He soon realized his passion for cars was more and signed on with U.S. Legend Cars International.
“Annual sales for 2022 were up 24 percent over 2020, and current year sales are pacing ahead of last year”, stated Smith, referring to his magnificent work as the Managing Director of U.S. Legend Cars International. No one else can make sales figures sound like a NASCAR championship final lap like our man Smith.
As an endearing farewell, Smith shared: “My time at U.S. Legends has not only reignited my passion for grassroots racing but has given me lifelong friendships for which I am truly grateful.”
Well, we’re holding our hats high for you, Smith. Here’s to that need for speed, serving you well in achieving everything you set out for!
