Current ASA STARS National Tour points runner-up, Cole Butcher, is revving up for his second appearance at the highly anticipated Winchester 400 this weekend. The Canadian driver has been making waves in the series, sitting second with just two races left.
Butcher’s impressive season includes a win in the Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway, five top-five finishes and only one outside the top ten. With an impressive 126 stage points, he’s proven to be a fierce competitor, second only to Ty Majeski in the series.
Butcher’s success is not limited to the ASA STARS National Tour. He secured his second-straight victory in the Oxford 250 in Maine in August. He’s also triumphed in a CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at Hickory and two PASS National races at Hickory on the same day. Butcher is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with on any track.
Last year, in his debut appearance at the Winchester 400, Butcher showcased his skills by leading 79 laps and spending a significant portion of the race in the top five. Unfortunately, a freak occurrence shattered his chances at victory. The left rear snout broke, causing the tire to fly off his car in turn four before hitting the wall on lap 311. Despite the setback, Butcher persevered and finished the race in a commendable ninth position.
As the ASA STARS National Tour heads to Winchester Speedway on October 15, the Winchester 400, Presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel, promises to be a thrilling season finale for the ASA/CRA Super Series. Fans can get their tickets by calling the track office at (765)584-9701.

The ASA STARS National Tour is a collaboration between the regional pavement Super Late Model Series under the Track Enterprises banner, including the ASA/CRA Super Series, the ASA Midwest Tour, and the ASA Southern Super Series.
