FAST FACTS:
Sebastien Bourdais on Champ Car Pole
Sebastien Bourdais won the 22nd pole of his career by leading today’s qualifying. He is ninth on the all-time list, just one behind former champion Johnny Rutherford.
Tomorrow marks Cristiano da Matta’s 100th career Champ Car start. He will join Alex Tagliani, Oriol Servia and Paul Tracy as the only current drivers to have 100 starts in the series.
Each of the drivers that started in the top four in last year’s Edmonton race led laps during the event, but the race winner (Bourdais) came from the 10th position on the grid to win.
